Tribute to CDR Robert J. Collins

December 9, 1938--November 10, 2019

The Gagnon Museum has lost a most valued advisor.

Robert J. Collins was a retired navy commander living in Fairfax, Virginia. He contacted Arlyn Gagnon after both of their spouses passed away, and he then began to volunteer at the museum. He was very innovative and created his own unique role, which was sending relevant art, education, healing, and museum articles from his fine daily newspaper. He was always bright, an avid reader, and cared deeply about education and the success of our small private museum. His efforts kept Arlyn, her staff, and her interns informed of worldwide art exhibits and related events.

Robert will be deeply missed.
