April 2026 Newsletter
Dear friends,
I would like to start this newsletter by welcoming Spring to the sculpture garden. Our two mallard ducks, who mate for life and return every Spring, are now swimming in the pond in the center of the sculpture garden. Our volunteer landscaper, Kara Vig, has visited many times to prepare the sculpture garden for Spring visitors. A special thank-you to volunteers Sherri and John McMeeking, Lucy Fulton, and Greg Sauve, who volunteered to manage the opening of our new exhibit of Art and Peace on Sunday, March 29th.
On April 15th, the confirmation class from Hosanna Church will be here for their annual Spring clean-up in the sculpture garden. Mr. Pizza South donates pizza to thank them for their good volunteer work. On April 25th, our museum volunteers will enjoy a special Italian luncheon and thank-you during national volunteers week. I also want to thank Ron Hanson for continuing his volunteer work as he retired in Florida with his wife and 2 cats. I also invite you to enjoy our first of many highlights in the Charles E. Gagnon Museum collection of bronze sculptures. With all good wishes for a happy Spring to you and your family.
April Museum Highlight

Discovery is one of my favorite sculptures by my late husband, Chuck Gagnon. It was enlarged and can be enjoyed at the end of the boardwalk in the sculpture garden. This sculpture captures the first time a 3 year old girl discovers nature and the world around her for the first time. She is bending over to pick up a seashell. I hope you discover this sculpture and the beautiful world she lives in when you visit the sculpture garden this Spring. Take time to sit on one of the stone benches surrounding Discovery.
Cheers!
